2023 NFL Draft Prospects

The 2023 NFL Draft will be held in Kansas City, Missouri, on April 27th. This will mark the first time the NFL has held a draft in the city since 1947. Although the event is not officially announced, many of the top prospects have already entered the fray.

There are several ’23 draft contenders that are worthy of first-round consideration. While the crop is not loaded with elite talent, it’s certainly worth a look. In fact, there are a few ’23 prospects that could turn into the signal-callers of the future. Some teams are in desperate need of a quarterback. And that means there are plenty of GMs that need to have a strong QB in the pipeline.

There are two studs that should be high on the list of teams looking for a franchise quarterback. One of these players is from the Ohio State Buckeyes and the other is from the Georgia Bulldogs. They are both dual threat players, with excellent skills in the passing game.

Another prospect from the Bulldogs that should be on the radars of NFL teams is defensive tackle Jalen Carter. He has the skills to be a dominant edge rusher in the NFL.

While there are other candidates that deserve to be mentioned, none of them have quite the hype that Carter has. Jones, for example, is a huge, physical corner that is best suited to play in a zone scheme. However, his speed also allows him to start well in man coverage.

Other notable early-entry candidates include Michigan’s Jordan Addison, who was a standout route-runner in college. He also excelled at creating separation. He also has good hands, and could potentially be a good fit for the Chargers.

Another name to look for in the 2023 NFL Draft is Cameron Latu, a 6 foot, 265 pound wide receiver. His lateral agility is impressive and he has good balance. Plus, his height and length allow him to have an impact as a pull-down tackle.

Another player from Georgia that could be an immediate contributor is Jalen Carter, a redshirt sophomore who was an All-American during his collegiate career. He also has elite scrambling ability and has a solid core of strength.

While the best-known ’23 signal-caller is probably Bryce Young, who is a small quarterback with all the skill sets needed to be a franchise quarterback. Another promising option is Kentucky’s Will Levis. Unlike many of the other quarterbacks on this list, he is a strong arm.

Some of the other ’23 draft finalists have a little more depth. Wide receiver Luke Musgrave has a solid skill-set, while tight end Darnell Washington has a knack for finding open windows. Similarly, offensive lineman Avila is one of the best in the draft. He can play multiple positions, and can make an immediate impact on the field.

The ’23 draft is going to be a busy time for many NFL teams, and it will be hard to say which teams will have the best chances of picking. For now, it looks like the Chicago Bears and Houston Texans will have the best chance to select the ‘best’ in the class.
