Miami Heat is in the midst of a three-game winning streak, but the NBA has now fined the team $25,000. The reason for this is that the team failed to report all players’ availability. Several players were listed as out and some were listed as probable.
A number of players on the Heat’s roster are currently out, including Bam Adebayo (foot plantar fasciitis), Gabe Vincent (left knee effusion), and Victor Oladipo (sprained right ankle). In addition to those players, there are also six questionable players, such as Jamal Cain (G League assignment), Dewayne Dedmon, and Omer Yurtseven.
Jimmy Butler missed Tuesday’s game against the Boston Celtics because of a back injury. He’s currently inactive, but is expected to play tonight against San Antonio.
Other players who are out for Saturday’s game against the Spurs include Jovic, Duncan Robinson, and Udonis Haslem. Also missing is Caleb Martin, who is out for foot plantar fasciitis.
Five players were not on the roster, however, as the team failed to update its injury report prior to the game. That list includes five players who weren’t on the team’s G League assignment.
Miami Heat will now list every player on its official injury report. The team will also list a total of 16 players on its official injury report against the Spurs.
On the flip side, the Miami Heat may not be the only team to take a stand against the fine. However, their response is a bit unprofessional.
